  2. deleting comments? really? I'll try again: i enjoyed the sight of the tweed riders coming down So. Orange Ave., but was disappointed to see many wearing traditional head gear rather than something to protect their cranium/brain. a bike advocacy group should know better.

  3. I saw a comment here about helmets. I don't know where it is now, but I'll respond anyway.

The commentator said that we should know better than to ride without proper helmets.

All I can say is that I debated this in my mind. I'm not proud of my decision, because I do feel I ought to set a good example. The good news, though, is that no one got hurt. Maybe that's bad news, because it can give the idea that a helmet isn't necessary. On all other 364 days of the year, I wear a helmet, and I recommend helmets to everyone else, too.

A woman named Sheryl is making stylish helmets that look like hats, not helmets. Watch for them as they become available. I didn't get her contact information.
