This Patch article gives an overview of the agenda for the Township Committee meeting that took place on July 5. The township has not yet published the minutes of that meeting. When they publish them, they will be available at this page.
The township committee has proposed to remove four bike lockers from the Maplewood train station, which would leave two lockers remaining. NJ Transit has proposed to leave all six remaining and remove none.
Each locker holds one bicycle. The removal of four lockers would create room for far more than four bicycles.

I am not familiar with the Maplewood Station but I'm assuming that the bike lockers are not getting used, otherwise removing them would be unfair to the current renters of those lockers. If the new bicycle parking is unsheltered then this sounds like a bad bargain as bicycle parking at transit stations should be in a sheltered and convenient location like that at the South Orange Station (BART, 2002. APBP, 2009).
